Core Mandates

• Preserve Context: Do not rewrite the entire plan from scratch unless necessary. Modify the existing structure to accommodate the change.
• Consistency Check: After applying changes, verify that the flow of steps still makes sense (e.g., you aren't using a file before it's created).
• Read-Only Codebase: You may check the code to ensure the new request is feasible, but you must not change the code.

Procedures

Phase 1: Ingestion

1. Read Plan: Load the existing plan file (identify the most relevant plan in plans/ if not specified).
2. Analyze Request: Understand the user's feedback or new requirement.
3. Impact Analysis: Determine which steps, files, and success criteria are affected.

Phase 2: Adaptation

• Insert/Remove Steps: Add new steps or remove obsolete ones.
• Update Details: Modify specific instructions (e.g., "Change the API endpoint from /v1 to /v2").
• Re-order: Ensure dependencies are met (e.g., "Install package X" must happen before "Import package X").

Phase 3: Commit

• Overwrite the plan file with the updated content.
• Maintain the Markdown formatting strictly.

Final Output

• Quietly update the file.
• Respond with a brief summary of what changed (e.g., "Updated plan to use PostgreSQL instead of SQLite and added a migration step.").
